Corporate teams across the country are taking up the challenge…
What can be done to support those living without access to safe and decent housing?
Hosted by professional facilitators, the Habitat for Humanity Australia’s Tomorrow Builders Challenge includes interactive fast-paced simulation exercises and thought-provoking discussions that promote teamwork, increased empathy and more open minds. The results?
Since 1976, Habitat for Humanity has helped more than 29 million people across 70 countries gain access to safe and decent housing, water, sanitation, hygiene and livelihood training as a foundation for change and hope for the future. Through shelter they empower people to be healthier, happier and more secure and for children to be better nourished and educated.
Habitat for Humanity Australia works in partnership with families and communities to build or improve a place they can call home:
“This is important and life changing work which can only be done through the support of our partners in the corporate sector and through the professionalism and commitment of our people.”
Nicole Stanmore, CEO, Habitat for Humanity Australia
“At Habitat for Humanity we believe that a decent home is the foundation for the future, giving families to lead healthier, happier and more secure lives which leads to stronger communities that can grow and sustain themselves.”
Duncan West, Chair, Habitat for Humanity Australia
"The foundation for changing peoples’ lives resides through building strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. This is why the support of corporate groups is so critical.”
Lara Warren, Head of Partnerships, Habitat for Humanity Australia
10-30 people Online
10-100 people face-to-face
2 hours online or 3 hours face-to-face group sessions with interactive activities and team challenges.
Participants will have the opportunity to self-reflect, draw parallels to their team and work environments and consider how their own actions impact others. They will explore the different roles within a team and the importance that each team member has in reaching the end goal. They will be challenged to look at new ideas and how they can use those to improve the world around them.
You'll discover ways the charity serves the community and supports people across Australia and Asia-Pacific by providing appropriate housing solutions that enable families to grow and sustain themselves, whilst learning to challenge assumptions, discover new ways to bring out the best in others and champion social change.
You'll also get to know your colleagues and have fun whilst increasing your social impact!
In addition to the education and contribution to the charity via the team building exercises, we are proud to make a financial contribution too. The charity will receive 50% of the net profits from each session (a minimum of $500 plus GST).
If you're looking to expand your teams perspective, challenge your own world view and learn more about one of Australia’s most innovative and collaborative charities, this is the team challenge for you. Your team will participate in an engaging session filled with fun activities and will leave with a fresh outlook on the issues facing society.
