Saving Lives from the Boardroom to the Beach
Corporate teams across the country are taking up the challenge: what can be done to help save more lives along the NSW coastline?
Hosted by experienced and professional facilitators, the Surf Life Saving NSW Community Lifesavers Challenge includes fast-paced simulation exercises and thought-provoking discussions that promote teamwork and empathy. The results?
Surf Life Saving NSW relies on 75,000 volunteers at 129 Clubs to patrol over 1,500 kms of coastline. These great Australians give 650,000 voluntary hours each year to save thousands of lives. Without their support and the professional infrastructure, processes, systems and equipment at their disposal, the 375,000 people rescued since 1949 would have a different tale to tell.
The Surf Life Saving NSW Community Lifesavers Challenge seeks to support the thousands of volunteers who serve their community.
“Most people have no idea how to spot a rip or even appreciate the great dangers and risks of not swimming between the flags. This is a really tangible way for people to make a real difference to the work our charity does in a short time and help us save lives.”
George Shales, OAM Surf Life Saving NSW President
“Particularly in a time where organisations are needing to reconnect and stimulate their workforces post COVID, this is a fantastic team building activity, which is educational, fun and makes a real difference to our charity.”
Steven Pearce, AFSM, GAICD, CEO of Surf Life Saving NSW
“We are excited to offer this innovative program to the corporate community, helping them to engage their teams and create great working environments.”
Donna Wishart, Communication & Engagement Manager, Surf Life Saving NSW
10-30 people
2 hours online with interactive activities and team challenges.
Participants will have the opportunity to self-reflect and draw parallels to their team and work environments and consider how their own actions impact others. They will explore the different roles within a team and the importance that each has to reach the end goal. They will be challenged to look at new ideas and how they can use those to improve the world around them.
You'll be learning about how the charity is able to serve the community and save lives; learn some life saving tips for yourself; helping the charity to find new ways to serve their community; and getting to know your colleagues and have fun! All ideas and new solutions will be shared directly with Surf Life Saving NSW to help spread safety awareness in the community and save lives.
If you’re looking to learn more about beach safety and how to save lives we’ll need your attention, otherwise just your willingness to accept a team challenge. All proceeds after costs go directly to Surf Life Saving NSW.
