Sparking Christmas Cheer with Team NAB
Starlight ‘Sparklers’ team building session
Christmas is all about giving and thanks to the generosity of the NAB staff who took part in the Starlight ‘Sparklers’ team building sessions, there are many sick kids who will greatly enjoy receiving their own ‘Sparkle’ packs.
The events were booked by divisional NAB management to provide an opportunity for the newly formed teams to get to know each other on a more personal level and to foster greater collaboration, partnership and deeper relationships between the various departments.
This is where team building with purpose can really help hit the mark as session participants discuss non work topics and share personal views, insights and stories around the cause our charity partners work to address. In the case of our Starlight ‘Sparklers’ program, the group explored the topic of childhood, shared stories from their happy childhood memories and learnt about the amazing work our charity partner Starlight Children’s Foundation does in hospitals and the community to bring happiness and joy to sick kids.
When colleagues connect on a personal level this way about matters of life, they step out of the work zone and start to build and deepen their personal relationships with their peers. This team bonding fosters greater levels of trust and respect, which translates into better levels of collaboration back at work in the future.
Thank you to the team in Melbourne for the happiness and joy that you will bring these sick kids at this important time of year. Our charity partner Starlight Children’s Foundation Australia greatly appreciates your support. We hope that you enjoyed the team building session and appreciate all that you learnt about the charity and your colleagues in your time with us.
